About Our Funeral Home

In September 1999, Coy and Deanna opened Magnolia Funeral Home in Alexandria offering affordable funerals and cremations. In 2000, A. W. "Nicky" Middleton came aboard as manager of the funeral home and helped us grow. In 2005 we opened Alexandria Crematory, the first and only crematory in central Louisiana. Nicky also supervised Deanna's internship in order for her to become a funeral director until his unexpected death in August 2007, just weeks before she was to complete internship. After his death, retired embalmer Jamie Lusk came aboard as manager and continued to supervise Deanna so she could finish her internship and become the manager of Magnolia Funeral Home. He then decided to stay and supervise Coy in order for him to obtain his license as an embalmer, which he received in December 2008, and then he retired for the second time. Since then, we have continued to work hard and grow our business by still offering affordable funerals and cremations to those families in need.
